“Treating Mild Depression using CBT with Hypnosis”
Description:
The purpose of this course is to provide healthcare professionals with an understanding of Mild Depression, its clinical manifestation, and basic treatment approaches utilizing CBT with clinical hypnosis in order to facilitate optimum patient care and outcomes. Hypnosis can be used to help clients feeling ‘stuck’ to actively explore options making both emotionally and intellectually intelligent decisions.
Learning objectives:
1- Outline the diagnostic criteria for the various ‘levels’ of Depression:
Mild Depression, Moderate Depression and Severe Depressive Disorder.
2-Describe the various ‘forms’ of Depression:
A-Postpartum, Borderline, SAD, Bipolar, atypical, situational, persistent DD.
3. Describe the use of CBT as a treatment plan for those with Mild Depression.
4. Discuss the use of Hypnosis used in conjunction with CBT in the management of
Mild Depression.
