Micron Technology has acquired the last puzzle piece of land needed for construction of its massive chipmaking plant. | Syracuse.com has more.

State Announced More Than $240M Investment to Create and Preserve 1,800 Affordable Homes in Every Region of New York


More than $240 million in tax credits and subsidies was awarded to create and preserve 1,800 affordable, modern homes in 27 housing developments across New York. The awarded projects include housing with supportive services, accessibility features, and incorporate sustainability measures to keep costs down for residents and help address climate change.


The awards are provided through New York State Homes and Community Renewal's annual Low-Income Housing Tax Credit competitive funding round.

U.S. Senator Gillibrand Now Accepting Proposals for Congressionally Directed Spending Projects


The Office of U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is now accepting proposals for Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) projects for Fiscal Year 2027. The online portal will be open and accepting proposals until Sunday, March 22nd at 11:59pm ET.

 

The CDS process is an opportunity for Senator Gillibrand to place requests to direct federal funding to support local projects, programs, or initiatives that advance community priorities across New York. State, local, and tribal governments as well as non-profit organizations can apply for federal funds to be set aside for specific projects that would benefit from a one-time allocation.
