2013 NYSESA Annual Conference Scheduled
  
Following on the successful 2012 reboot of the Annual Conference the NYSESA has scheduled the 2013 conference to be held on
August 7-8, 2013 at the Desmond Conference Center in Albany, NY
  
The Desmond Conference Center was selected for several reason, not the least of which was the centralized location, allowing easier travel for members from all
corners of the state, its proximity to the State Capitol, and its reputation as a first class conference destination.
  
The conference committee is currently finalizing the conference schedule and programs - and is accepting submissions for
speakers and
program suggestions.

Networking for Security Technicians Course
The student will learn about Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks, connecting network devices, IP addressing.
 
Students will spend the first 6 hours learning about network transmission.  The next 4 hours will involve hands-on creating a network with devices (cameras, video servers, routers, switches). 
 
Finally, students will be broken into teams and given real-life troubleshooting tasks on live equipment. 
 
 Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to program and address network devices, set up a network, and troubleshoot multiple problems on a Local Area Network.
