Proposed Workers Comp Fee Schedule
The NYS Workers Compensation Board has proposed a new fee schedule that appears to be a 5% increase - the first substantial increase since 1996. While we welcome the increase, it does not make up for the inflation that's occurred.

Chart Your Course
NYSOTA members Lisa Davis and Marilyn Rosee have written a book that is on its way to becoming the definitive resource for occupational therapy career development. Written with the intention to help students hone their employment skills, it is equally valuable to the seasoned clinician dealing with a variety of employment-related issues.

One of Our Favorites
We're always on the lookout for great products to add to our OT toolbox. This month, we'd like to share Puzzle Art Therapy System with you. What creator Alli Berman started as a simple exercise to help find personal answers after a devastating stroke, has grown into an interactive art form being used in fifteen countries around the world!

Healing by Brushstroke
We are excited to share NYSOTA Member Kelly Spear's story about "Project Pride" and the healing power of art and teamwork. "Project Pride" is a facility-wide beautification project at the Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center. The program is affording persons with mental illness an opportunity to heal as they create.
