NYSPHSAA Winter Championships Conclude
The 2016 NYSPHSAA Winter Championships are in the books! Congratulations to all of our student-athletes and coaches for your many successes throughout the winter season! Visit our website for results, news, and see all the champions!
Winter Scholar-Athletes To Be Named This Week
The 2015-2016 Winter Scholar-Athlete teams will be released on the NYSPHSAA website later this week. We congratulate all of the student-athletes for their hard work in the classroom during the season. Spring scholar-athlete submission will open Monday, April 25 and the deadline is Monday, May 23.
Think Spring!
Spring is in the air, as spring sports got underway on Monday, March 7. The spring season concludes Week #49 with NYSPHSAA Championships on the weekend of Friday, June 10-Saturday, June 11. Good luck to all of our student-athletes and coaches as you wrap up the 2015-2016 school year on and off the field. For the 2016 NYSPHSAA Spring Championships schedule, click here.          
NFHS Honors Pair of Section VI Students 
The NFHS has named two Section VI students as recipients of national awards!
Samantha (Sam) Peterman, a student-athlete at Sweet Home High School, has been selected as the 2016 NFHS Section 1 recipient of the “National High School Spirit of Sport Award”. The National High School Spirit of Sport Award was created by the NFHS to recognize those individuals who exemplify the ideals of the spirit of sport that represent the core mission of education-based athletics. 
Kaleigh Hunt, a student at Ellicottville High School, has been selected as the 2016 Section 1 recipient of the "National High School Heart of the Arts Award". The National High School Heart of the Arts Award was created by the NFHS to recognize those individuals who exemplify the ideals of the positive heart of the arts that represent the core mission of education-based activities.

NYSAAA Conference In Saratoga
As you know, the 2016 NYSAAA Conference gets underway this week in Saratoga. Feel to free to stop by the NYSPHSAA booth during the conference. On Thursday, March 17 at 2:00 in room Broadway 4 join staff members Joe Agostinelli, Joe Altieri, Chris Joyce, and Todd Nelson for a panel discussion on services and programs that NYSPHSAA offers to our member schools throughout the year. NYSPHSAA congratulates our former Assistant Director, Bob Stulmaker on his induction into the NYSAAA Hall of Fame! Bob will be inducted at the conference during the luncheon on Friday, March 18!
