#MyReasonWhy
We are proud to partner with the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) in an exciting new program. The My Reason Why campaign encourages students, parents, coaches, officials and administrators to share their stories of what high school sports mean to them.
#MyReasonWhy is a multi-channel, multiyear movement that will leverage authentic stories to show why high school sports and activities matter. Please encourage your school and community to get involved using the link below with the hashtag #MyReasonWhy
Captains Club
Captains Club is a small way for the NYSPHSAA to reach out to the student-athletes throughout New York State. The short 10-15 minute motivational webinar is a leadership message specifically focusing on what it takes to be a team leader. NYSPHSAA wants to help those leaders explore the different roles, responsibilities, and expectations of leadership. Join us the second Tuesday of every month.

First Ever Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Announced
The SAAC was developed to give student-athletes a voice within the NYSPHSAA. Over the course of the school year, the committee will discuss topics relevant to high school student-athletes and develop ways to maintain a positive athletic experience.
Two student-athletes from each of the 11 sections were selected to serve a one-year term. However, juniors selected will have the option to stay on for two years. Members were chosen based on an academic resume which included GPA, extracurricular activities, and participation in sports.
