Wrestling Dual Meet Championships
2018 Division One Wrestling Dual Meet Champions Wantagh.
2018 Division Two Wrestling Dual Meet Champions Mount Sinai.
On January 27th, NYSPHSAA held it's first ever Wrestling Dual Meet State Championships. The event took roughly three years to develop and execute. It was the result of the hard work of many people and we want to thank of of those involved.

Congratulations to Wantagh High School (Section VIII) and Mt. Sinai High School (Section XI) who each won Division Championships at the first ever NYSPHSAA Dual Meet Wrestling Tournament held at SRC Arena in Syracuse. The event saw 12 Division 1 teams and 12 Division 2 teams who each competed in two pool play matches with winners of four pools advancing to the state semifinals. Over 1,100 fans came to the arena for an all day tournament that started at 9 am and finished about 8 pm.

Wantagh defeated Minisink Valley, 37-28, and Mt. Sinai defeated Canisteo-Greenwood, 33-30, in their respective finals. It was the first NYSPHSAA sponsored team wrestling championship ever held and we look forward to the event returning to the SRC Arena next winter.
