New NYSPHSAA President Takes Over
On September 1, 2018 Paul Harrica officially became the President of the New York State Public High School Athletic Association. Here are some thoughts from NYSPHSAA Executive Director Dr. Robert Zayas.

"Paul assumes the role of President for the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 school years. Paul brings a great deal of experience and expertise into this position and I strongly believe his leadership qualities will serve the membership of NYSPHSAA in a positive and beneficial manner.

I would also like to thank Jim Osborne for his tireless efforts the past two years as President of NYSPHSAA. I have truly enjoyed working with Jim and believe his dedication to improving NYSPHSAA was evident in all that he accomplished during his two-year tenure as President. Jim will now move into the role of Past President.

Julie Bergman (Section IV) enters the role of 1 st Vice President and Russell Bartlett (Section X) will start his 8-year term as an Officer by serving next two years as 2 nd Vice President.

Finally, I would like to recognize Steve Broadwell, whose 8-year term as an Officer ended on August 31 st . Steve had a tremendous impact upon our Association and the students who participate. Steve’s leadership within our Association will certainly be missed and always appreciated."
