Good News

Federal
  • Marvin Irby, National Restaurant Association Interim President and CEO, and about 20 other food and beverage representatives were named to President Donald J. Trump’s Great American Economic Revival Industry Groups. The White House noted during thannouncement that the groups will work with government officials to help chart the path to recovery following COVID-19 closures.

State
  • The new guidelines for face coverings takes effect tonight at 8 p.m. The NYS Department of Health issued guidance on the new requirements for face coverings, read guidance here
  • The New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF) and NYSRA stand ready to respond to the needs of our customers throughout the COVID-19 outbreak. Therefore, NYSIF will be suspending cancellations, late fees, interest and installment fees on your policy. We want to ensure that you maintain full workers’ compensation coverage without assuming additional financial burden. NYC
  • The New York City Council will officially be undertaking remote operations, and they will hold their first remote stated meeting next Wednesday, April 22. It appears the public will be able to watch this and other City Council meetings through a live stream available through the Council website.

  • Held a weekly conference call/Zoom meeting discussion with the Caterers Council and the Westchester Chapter members.
