Here are some tips for attending this meeting.
  • Please print out this email so that you have this information available during the meeting.  Also keep the electronic version of the email available since you may want to click on the above links to enter the meeting.

  • It is suggested that you always mute your microphone when not speaking to avoid feedback and echoing (and if using a headset, to avoid breathing sounds).  Cell phone ringers should likewise be silenced.

  • In some instances, it may be advisable to reboot the machine you connect with prior to starting the meeting, especially if it has been running a long time with many open applications.

  • You can join the audio and video portions of this meeting via a Microsoft Windows or Apple MacIntosh desktop or laptop computer, or an Apple iOS or Android tablet or mobile device.

  • For the best meeting experience, a computer with a microphone and headphones (or speakers) is desirable.  However, It is possible to use a combination of computer for video and phone for audio.  For example, if your device does not have a working microphone or the audio is choppy, you may want to join the audio portion via the dial-in number.

  • For the best results when connecting to the meeting you should connect via a wired Ethernet connection to your router.  If connected wirelessly, the quality of the streamed audio and video can be hindered by slower or weaker Wi-Fi signals.

  • You do not need to have a Zoom account to attend a Zoom meeting. You will be prompted to download a small application file once you have clicked on the link that you have been provided. (You may also wish to create an account, but that is not required to participate in a Zoom meeting.)

  • Ensure you have adequate lighting. Do not sit too close to any windows with lots of natural light from either side or behind you (best is light from in front of you). If you can, position any lamps/light sources nearby to fill your scene. Avoid too much light to prevent bright spots.

  • To interject with comments or questions, please use the “Raise Hand” feature and wait to be recognized.  You may need to first click on the icon labeled “Participants” to open the list of participants to make this feature visible.  At the bottom of that list will be an option labeled, “Raise Hand” (which will change to “Lower Hand” once it has been activated).  On some systems, the following keyboard combinations can be used as an alternative:
  • Microsoft Windows: [Alt]+[Y] keyboard shortcut to alternately raise or lower your hand
  • Apple MacIntosh: [Option]+[Y] keyboard shortcut to alternately raise or lower your hand
Quick Start
  1. Start the meeting with one of these options:
  • Click on the above link in the email to connect to the meeting.
  • Sign in to your Zoom Desktop Client or Mobile App and select the option to Join a Meeting. Enter the Meeting ID above and click the option to join the meeting.  Enter the meeting Password, enter your name, or email address if requested.
  1. Depending on how you join the meeting, you may be prompted how you wish to join for audio content:
  • If you are unable to join from Zoom on a computer or mobile device with a microphone, you can join the meeting via telephone by calling the phone number provided above and entering the Meeting ID and Password (each followed by the # sign) when prompted.  If you have previously joined the video portion of the meeting, you should enter your Participant ID instead so that your video and audio are linked.
  • Otherwise simply select Join Computer by Audio.
All Documents needed for the meeting are in the Board-Shared Folder in DropBox
