This year’s event will feature brief remarks from special guest Devin Lander, New York State Historian, who will share updates on the 250th Commemoration planning and an exciting look ahead to the 250 Summit events in 2025.


Enjoy a festive evening filled with activities like trivia, story-sharing, and door prizes, plus the chance to show off your holiday spirit in the Ugliest Sweater Contest or Best Virtual Background/Decor Contest. NYS Parks Announces 14 Nominations for State and National Registers of Historic Places

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation announced recommendations by the New York State Board for Historic Preservation to add 14 properties to the State and National Registers of Historic Places and expand one existing listing. The nominations include a new historic district in Wellsville, a synagogue on Staten Island, an enslaved people’s burial ground in the Bronx, and an LGBTQ Commune in Newfield.
