The Office of Cultural Education is excited to invite you to the 2nd Annual Winter New York State 250 Commemoration Summit, February 11, 2026 at the New York State Museum's Huxley Theater from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Join us for updates and presentations from a wide variety of state officials, cultural, history and tourism entities and executives. This will be the first commemoration to be streamed live for those who cannot attend in person!

Trail Towns: Boosting New York's Outdoor Recreation Economy

Join us for our next Wednesday Webinar and get to know the impact of trail tourism! Erica Schneider of Park & Trails New York will provide an in-depth look at the Empire State Trail Town program, outlining how communities can leverage the trail and other outdoor assets to expand recreation access and create welcoming, trail-friendly destinations. The webinar will highlight practical strategies tourism professionals can use to strengthen bike-friendly infrastructure and encourage longer visitor stays.
