& Holiday Party!

Tomorrow, December 17 | 3:00-4:45 PM

'Yule' be sorry if you miss it - Registration is FREE!

It's the most wonderful time of the year, and we hope to see you tomorrow (Dec. 17) at the Fourth Annual Virtual NYSTIA Member Meeting & Holiday Party! This popular event is an informative and festive end-of-year highlight. Register today to get your unique registration link - necessary for door prize drawings!

Join us for the Member Meeting at 3 PM - We’ll update our members with end-of-year reports and updates, as well as a glimpse of what’s planned (and what’s new) for 2026! The Holiday Party follows the Member Meeting. Test your knowledge during our always-popular holiday trivia, featuring a mix of classic New York State-inspired questions and a couple of surprise categories that'll have you thinking about seasonal favorites and well-known December figures. Back by popular demand, show off your creativity and holiday spirit in the Ugliest Holiday Sweater Contest and Most Festive Virtual Background / Decor Contest. Winners of these contests and trivia participants will take home prizes, with more surprises sprinkled throughout the party hour!

A special thank-you to our friends and NYSTIA colleagues at Oneida County Tourism, Explore Steuben, the Corning Museum of Glass, This Is Cooperstown, Corporate Communications, the Holiday Inn Saratoga and KOS Saunas for generously donating fantastic door prizes, including gift baskets and memorable experiences through New York State.

So grab your favorite New York State beverage, enjoy great conversation, and wrap up the year with good cheer and great company. 🎄🎁

We'd like to extend a huge thank you to our friends and colleagues at Travel Alliance Partnership for once again hosting the NYSTIA Membership Meeting & Virtual Holiday Party!

⚖️ Advocacy Matters to You

  • U.S. Travel: According to a new U.S. Travel survey, Americans want immediate action to improve the air travel process. Congress can act now by returning billions of dollars from the 9/11 Passenger Security Fee—a charge added to every airline ticket meant to fund TSA operations and airport security improvements but largely diverted elsewhere—to update security technology and speed up screening.
  • U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued a new information collection request that would significantly expand the data required of Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) applicants. CBP is proposing to make social media a mandatory data element, requiring applicants “to provide their social media from the last five years,” along with additional details. U.S. Travel will submit comments that reflect the industry’s perspective
