Membership Is Everybody's Business!

As the co-chair of the membership committee, I am pleased to share my motto, “Membership is Everybody’s Business”. If you enjoy and benefit from your membership with NYSTIA, you are encouraged to refer others to join as well. Together we can continue to grow our membership, our engagement, and our place as true stewards of the tourism industry in New York State.

Hilary Fenner and I are excited about the committee’s new membership ambassador program that will enlist our members to reach out to new members and potential members to talk about all of the benefits that come with membership with NYSTIA. We look forward to sustaining and even increasing the momentum of our membership growth in 2026 and beyond.

If you are interested in joining our new Ambassador Council, reach out to me today - GregL@visitrochester.com - for details.

Share Your Thoughts.

  • Across New York State, destination organizations are leading powerful advocacy efforts to demonstrate the value of tourism in their communities. This new resource highlights real-world examples of how individual markets are engaging partners, amplifying local voices, and building support for sustained investment in tourism at all levels.
  • U.S. Travel: One year ago, the Commission on Seamless and Secure Travel set a clear roadmap to modernize the American travel system. Since then, we've driven measurable progress. But significant funding now hangs in the balance and harmful policy proposals threaten to undercut our momentum. Here is where the industry stands.
