New Year Welcome from

NYSTIA Board Chair Cassanda Harrington

"As we step up to the plate in 2026, I’m excited about where NYSTIA is headed and even more energized by how we’ll get there together. Our Game Plan for the year ahead focuses on strengthening advocacy and community relations, delivering clearer value to members, and sharpening our role as as industry advocate and convener.

We proudly call NYSTIA member driven, and with nearly 100 volunteers serving across our committees and task forces, that’s not just a tagline— that's some serious bench strength. This depth of involvement fuels our grassroots advocacy, ensuring local voices help shape statewide conversations around tourism as economic development.

As we refine how we communicate, collaborate, and show up for one another, every idea and connection helps move the work forward. I’m grateful to be part of this team and look forward to playing the long game together in support of New York State’s tourism industry."

- Cass Harrington, Chair of the Board, New York State Tourism Industry Association (NYSTIA); President & CEO, Destination Marketing Corp. serving Otsego & Schoharie Counties, New York

Join the Pledge to Protect, created by the St. Lawrence–Eastern Lake Ontario Partnership for Regional Invasive Species Management (SLELO PRISM), for tips, tools, and rewards.
