Weekly Newsletter - July 16, 2020
NYSWYSA has developed a weekly newsletter to share information from around NYSW, US Youth Soccer and US Soccer. This will provide one central location for disseminating information on a weekly basis.
Return to Play Update
The following document specifies the Return to Play guidelines for sports and recreation activities in New York. As mandated by the New York State government, soccer resumed on July 6th, 2020.

The State of New York has classified soccer as a moderate risk sport, and their guidelines clarify what type of play is allowed. The guidelines specify both the mandatory requirements of Return to Play and the recommended best practices. Refer to the document linked above to ensure that your respective soccer programming meets the New York State requirements.
US Youth Soccer Updates

Project Play published a paper on “Questions Families Can Ask About COVID-19 Safety”. Inside the article is a link to a directory of State Health Departments. Overall, it’s a good piece and if you have not seen it, take a look.
