Dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus, part of the growing repentance remnant, cleansing as His Bride, getting ready for His soon return as our Bridegroom,

There is so much to repent for! So-called "Christians" over the centuries targeted, killed, hunted down, and slaughtered Jews REPEATEDLY. In the process, understandably, they made the Name of Jesus/Yeshua a curseword for Jews. Many Jews today understandably fear "Christians" in some sense as much as they may fear muslims intent on killing Jews.

9-AV.com has a prayer guide that details much of this horrific treatment of the Jews. To the extent we can confess our sins and repent identificationally, the time to do this is NOW.

Perhaps we have an example of this identificational repentance when Aaron, at Moses' instruction, even as God's wrath had unleashed a plague, ran into the midst of the assembly with fire from the altar, and made atonement for the people for their complaining. His action stopped the plague. Numbers 16: 41-50.

Please join me in repenting that we have made the Name of the Savior, Yeshua/ Jesus, a curseword to many among His own chosen people. This plague must stop. Pray as the Holy Spirit may direct ( Romans 8:26) to take down this plague.

One of the articles in the 9-AV prayer guide points out: The sins of those who call themselves believers in the God of Israel, make a mockery of Him, when they walk in the ways of the world. We took Jesus, the one who saved us from our own selfish ways and turned him into a weapon against the very people from which he came. We turned the name of our Savior into a curse word for the Jewish people. We did not come to the knowledge of the God of Israel in order to curse or condemn any man, rather, we were saved so that we might show the world the power of God through a transformed life. This is what the Church missed during the Middle Ages, choosing to persecute the innocent Jew, rather than change themselves.... In order to move forward, we must understand the blood that is on the Church's hands, ask for forgiveness, and live a life that is "worthy of repentance," demonstrating that the grace of God is enough for us as well. The history of the Church is full of mistakes and regrets; are we the generation that will change that narrative for the future?
Prayer for repentance:
O Lord, the innocent blood cries out to the Heavens—and yet, so few know about it; and if they know, they often shut their eyes. We beg Your forgiveness, and we also pray that Your Love will break through our hard and indifferent hearts. Please forgive us, we who so cruelly and perversely disfigured Your name, even while we said we longed to know You and to love YOU. Forgive us, for our churches and communities which did not walk or show that pathway to repentance. We should know that path better than anyone, since we say it is the path upon which we walk. Heal the deep wounds we have scarred into generations of Your people. Would You please bring to light what is in darkness and reveal Yourself as the King of truth and justice? Please change our hearts and set us free into the beauty of Your kindness, humility and mercy. Lord, we look at Church history and have so many regrets. Help us to take action today and live lives that have no regrets, because our hearts and passions are aligned with You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Isaiah 62 is a central focus these days leading up to Pentecost. " For Zion's sake I will not hold My peace, And for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness , And her salvation as a lamp that burns. " Isaiah 62:1

" I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night, You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent, And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth." Isaiah 62: 6-7

Our suggestion is that you also consider including in your prayer time each day a time of reflection and repentance for one or more key incidents, among the hundreds of such incidents, going back to the early church, where "Christians" terrorized or killed Jews.

Please email me, pastorjeff@repentday.com, and I'll send you the list of 160 or more such horrific acts by "Christians." The list ends in the year 2003 and needs to be updated.
