A MESSAGE FROM MAYOR KLING
I am pleased to formally announce Jeannie Strohmeyer as the new Executive Director for the Nampa Family Justice Center (NFJC). Jeannie has been part of the Nampa Family Justice Center since 2009 and has served in various roles including advocate, client service coordinator and program manager.

Jeannie has been a valuable leader within the Nampa Family Justice Center for a long time and has a heart of service for our community. I am very thankful for the vital work provided by the Nampa Family Justice Center to our community over the past 15 years and have full confidence Jeannie will grow their program in the coming years.
-Mayor Debbie Kling
"It is my privilege and honor to serve in a capacity that can provide greater hope, support and care to those that have been affected by abuse and are most vulnerable in our community. I believe all people have intrinsic value and no matter their choices of the past, or the outcome of the present, each person is precious and of great worth.”
-Jeannie Strohmeyer

Nampa Family Justice Center in action

The Nampa Family Justice Center is a collaboration of agencies with the mission to promote safety, self-sufficiency, hope and healing to those affected by abuse.
The below story is an excellent example of this mission:

A Child Protective Services (CPS) worker stationed at the NFJC brought in a family with multiple young children. This family was found living in a car and the children appeared to have experienced much trauma.

The Nampa Family Justice Center (NFJC) advocates worked with CPS to provide assistance including helping clean the small children, provide new clothes, gave them water and food, and a safe place to sleep. Our staff also comforted one child by holding her while she slept to reinforce safety and care. The Nampa Police Department, also stationed at the NFJC, stepped in and worked alongside everyone else to tend to the needs of the children.

Everyone came together to help. It was a hard and very sad situation but the children are in a safe place now. Please note: the intent of Child Protective Services is to protect children. Their goal is to keep children from harm, reunite families and continually work to provide support and resources.

Additionally, the kindness of the CPS workers was evident to the NFJC advocates. Their gentleness, compassion and care for the kids, even amongst the chaos, was beautiful to watch. We would also like to thank our facilities staff, Felicia, who stepped in and assisted with the cleanup as well.

ROTARY CLUB OF NAMPA HELPS FUND
NAMPA FAMILY JUSTICE CENTER PROJECTS
Over the weekend, our friends at Rotary Club of Nampa stopped by and put together a couple of desks, computers and printers!! They graciously donated these items to our center for our clients to use. Our center has been lacking a job-ready room for our clients to help them update their resume, look for a job and be able to apply for a job. The Rotary Club helped fund a wellness room for NFJC staff as well.
The Rotary Club of Nampa has gone above and beyond for us and to support not only the clients, but the staff. You are rock stars in the community & we are beyond appreciative of you!
