St. Mary Star of the Sea Welcomes Bishop Bruce Lewandowski

St. Mary Star of the Sea Parish in Narragansett was honored to welcome Bishop Bruce Lewandowski on May 30, 2026, as he celebrated the Vigil Mass of the Most Holy Trinity. Following Mass, parishioners gathered in the parish hall for a joyful community celebration, making it a memorable evening for our St. Mary's family. We are grateful for Bishop Bruce's presence, his inspiring homily, and his continued pastoral care for the people of the Diocese of Providence.

We are also looking forward to one of South County's cherished summer traditions—the annual Blessing of the Fleet in Galilee on Saturday, July 25. Our pastor, Father Robert Forcier, will offer the blessing as the community gathers to pray for the safety of all who work and travel on the sea. The event remains a beloved expression of faith, gratitude, and Rhode Island's enduring connection to the ocean.

St. Mary Star of the Sea Parish is grateful for the opportunity to share these special moments with the South County community and looks forward to participating in these treasured traditions that bring neighbors, families, and visitors together throughout the summer season.
