School Supplies Drive - July 5 - August 16

Supplying Confidence, One Student at a Time

Thanks to your generosity, we are just 7 backpacks and $250 away from reaching our goal of 150 backpacks filled with school supplies for local students through our partnership with Westminster Presbyterian Church in Trenton. Bring backpacks to the Narthex on Sundays. Give online through the "School Supplies" fund ("Give Now") or write "School Supplies" in your check memo.

School Supplies Drive Volunteers Needed

Help prepare school supplies for local students! Join us on Tuesday, August 25 (2:00–3:00 PM) to sort donated supplies into pencil cases—a mostly seated task. Our task on Wednesday, August 26 (10:00 AM–12:00 PM) is to pack individual school supply kits, which involves standing and moving around the room. Volunteer for either day or both! No special skills are required—just an hour or two of your time.

Loaves & Fishes: August

Friday, August 21 (Princeton) and/or Saturday, August 22 (Trenton)

More Than a Meal—A Moment of Care

Join us in the Assembly Room at Nassau on Friday for an intergenerational gathering to help prepare the meal, and/or serve in Trenton on Saturday. At home you can prepare complete bag lunches or bake individually wrapped brownies. Whether you give food, time or monetary support, every contribution makes a difference to those in need. Be part of our community of faith in action.

Hunger Offering - Sunday, August 30

Until All Are Fed

This monthly offering supports partners addressing hunger locally and globally, including HomeFront, the Presbyterian Hunger Program, Send Hunger Packing Princeton, Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, and the Uniting Reformed Church in Stellenbosch, South Africa. Use the “Hunger” fund when you give online (“Give Now”) or write “Hunger” in your check memo.

Arm In Arm Volunteers Needed

Arm In Arm welcomes volunteers to help at its food pantries in Princeton and Trenton. Whether you can serve regularly or just occasionally, your time can make a real difference for neighbors facing food insecurity. Volunteers of all ages are welcome; those ages 8–16 must be accompanied by an adult. No experience is necessary—training and support are provided.

Supporting Our Community

Here are several simple ways to help care for our neighbors:

Reusable Bags—Each month, Arm In Arm uses over 1,300 reusable grocery bags for mobile pantry and home deliveries. Please drop off clean, sturdy bags in the box outside the church office.

McCaffrey’s Receipts—Place recent McCaffrey’s receipts (within two months) in the narthex—McCaffrey’s donates a percentage of purchases to Arm In Arm.

Free Community Cabinet—You may also support our neighbors directly by placing nonperishable food and basic household items in the Free Community Cabinet outside our building.

Thank you for your continued support.

Staying Connected

Piano Ragtime Jazz Concert

Wednesday, August 19, 8:00 PM, Sanctuary

The Automatic Musical Instrument Collectors' Association and The Musical Box Society International invite the community to an evening of vintage jazz piano featuring renowned pianist and vocalist Peter Mintun. Bring a friend and enjoy this one-night-only, toe-tapping performance, part of the organizations' Annual Convention, being held this year in Princeton. Free and open to the public.

Ushers & Hallway Greeters Needed

Interested in welcoming worshippers to Nassau Church? Consider serving as an usher or hallway greeter beginning in September. These ministries help visitors and members feel at home, answer questions, and offer hospitality throughout the morning. Serving is an easy way to meet new people and become more involved in the Nassau Church community.

Nassau's Weekly Prayer Chain & D365 Devotional
D365 is a Presbyterian Church (USA) website and app offering a daily devotional experience written on a single theme for one week. Through scripture, prayer, and blessing you will read honest struggles and questions, all in the context of faith. You're invited to let the writer’s words serve as background for your own conversation with God.

Please use the doorbell at the ramp entrance if you need access when the church office is open. If you need to drop something off, the locked drop box at the bottom of the ramp is checked daily.
