Mission and Outreach

Hunger Offering

On Sunday, February 22, we will receive the monthly Hunger Offering, a designated special offering for alleviating hunger in our community and around the world. The Mission & Outreach Committee partners with the following recipients of the hunger offering: HomeFront, Presbyterian Hunger Program, Send Hunger Packing Princeton, Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, and Uniting Reformed Church in Stellenbosch, South Africa. In January, the congregation gave $4,465. Thank you for your faithful generosity as we work together until all are fed.

Valentines for Food - Feeding Our Neighbors

Through the month of February

“God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God.” (1 John 4:16). Love takes many forms. In addition to food donations, you are invited to:

  • Make a financial gift designated to Arm In Arm
  • Volunteer at the pantry or mobile food distributions

Each gift—of resources or time—helps ensure our neighbors have food and support when they need it most.

Donations received online through MyNassau, or at arminarm.org/donate (noting Nassau) will be DOUBLED thanks to the generosity of a faithful group of NPC members.

Mission Spotlight - The Neighbor Fund

In worship on Sunday, we shared an update on the Neighbor Fund, launched in response to immigration detentions affecting families in our community. Thanks to extraordinary generosity—within and beyond Nassau—we have been able to support neighbors facing legal and financial hardship.

The need continues. We invite you to learn more about the impact of the Fund and consider a renewed gift. Whether or not you are able to contribute at this time, please continue to hold immigration-impacted neighbors in your prayers: “I was a stranger, and you invited me in.” (Matthew 25:35)

Supporting Neighbors in Minneapolis

Nassau's Mission & Outreach Committee approved a $2,000 grant to Westminster Presbyterian Church, Minneapolis for their Extraordinary Times Offering. We join in prayerful action to support our neighbors in this season.
