Next Sunday, November 26, we will receive the monthly Hunger Offering, a designated special offering for alleviating hunger in our community and around the world. The Mission Committee partners with the following recipients of the hunger offering: HomeFront, Presbyterian Hunger Program, Send Hunger Packing Princeton, Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, and Uniting Reformed Church in Stellenbosch, South Africa. Thank you for giving until all are fed.

Give online using the link provided or by using Church Life on your phone. Checks can be mailed to 61 Nassau Street, Princeton, NJ 08542, dropped off in the drop box near the base of the ramp by the parking lot or placed in the offering plates on Sunday morning.

Friday, November 17, 7:00 PM, Kingston Presbyterian Church

Rev. Dr. Karla Ann Koll will share about her work in Costa Rica at Latin American Biblical University. Join members of the Presbytery for conversation and dessert. Karla is one of three PC(USA) Mission Co-Workers supported by Nassau Church.

Princeton Public Health nurses are providing at-home flu vaccinations for homebound Princeton residents. There is limited vaccine supply for this population so requests for this service are for those unable to leave their house to go to a flu clinic/pharmacy/medical office. To make an appointment, call Public Health Nurse, Kathy Korwin, 609-497-7609.

Drop off in the main office on Sundays by January 7

The Mass Incarceration Task Force is collecting 2024 calendars to send to East Jersey State Prison in Rahway. The calendars must not have wire bindings, but staples are okay.

This autumn, Nassau Presbyterian Church small groups are focusing upon prayer: examples of prayer in the Bible, ways to pray, and prayer within different contexts. Over the next week the Sacred Art of Photography group will be sharing one or two prayers and photos each day on Nassau’s Instagram and Facebook feeds. You will also be able to view these posts on the church website.

Westminster Conservatory at Nassau will continue with a recital of music for two flutes and piano. Flutists Ellen Fisher Deerberg and Kevin Willois along with pianist Patricia Tupta Landy will perform music by Leo Delibes, Franz Doppler, Wilhelm Peterson-Berger, and Francis Poulenc. The recital is open to the public free of charge.

Immerse yourself in music and poetry selected for your Advent journey. You will receive emails for each week of the four weeks in Advent, plus emails for Christmas Day and Epiphany. These emails will feature poetry and other written verses with music and questions for reflection and devotion. Give yourself the gift of quiet time each week during this busy season and these chaotic days. In doing so you will find space for devotion that draws you into the season that shimmers with hope, mystery and possibility.

Join a discussion of China Court by Rumer Godden, the book originally scheduled for our October meeting. A family’s loves, pains, triumphs, and scandals are laid bare, forming an intricate tapestry of heart-wrenching humanity, in a remarkable work of fiction from one of the most acclaimed British novelists of the twentieth century. Bring a sack lunch and something to share. Coffee and tea are provided. All are welcome.

A Photo Show & Sale to Benefit the Hunger Offering, through December 3.

The service is co-sponsored by the Princeton Clergy Association and the Office of Religious Life at Princeton University and includes participants from local religious communities. We gather for gratitude, friendship, prayer, and music.
