Two-Service Schedule Returns Next Week | |
On Sunday, September 8, we return to our schedule of two services of worship at 9:15 and 11:00 AM.
Childcare is available for infants and toddlers in the Nursery (Lower Level), 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
Church School takes place during the 9:15 AM service. Classes for grades 6 to 12 begin at 9:15 AM. Preschoolers to grade 5 participate in the first part of the service and are then dismissed to their classes. All classes conclude at 10:30 AM.
Worship Explorers is a child-focused alternative worship setting during 11:00 AM worship for children age 3 to grade 3. Children attend the first part of the service and are then dismissed to Room 302 (Third Floor). Parents pick up children there when the class concludes at 12:00 PM.

Hunger Offering - last Sunday of the month
Until all are fed. This offering supports the following mission partners: HomeFront, Presbyterian Hunger Program, Send Hunger Packing Princetons, Trenton Area Soup Kitchen, and Uniting Reformed Church in Stellenbosch, South Africa. Nassau is able to maintain our commitment to the hunger offering until all are fed because of the congregation's ongoing support. Thank you for giving at the end of every month as we help support food security locally, domestically, and internationally.

Providing supplies for success. We are grateful for the team effort again this year to help make sure young neighbors in Trenton are ready for school to start! Thank you for donating backpacks, offering funds and helping sort school supplies.

Serve our neighbors, be fed in spirit. Thank you once again for stepping up and serving this meal that is so appreciated. For 32 years, Nassau Church has provided this meal of hospitality in Trenton! The need is great, and once again, we responded and served.

PTS Coat Drive - through September 15
Restock the PTS Coat Closet. To help prepare international students at the Seminary for the New Jersey winters, donate gently worn men’s and women’s winter coats, fleece pullovers and winter accessories. This year we are also looking for donations of new socks for both men and women or cash donations to purchase them. Bring items to the Assembly Room on Sunday mornings; contact the church office to drop off during the week.

Voter Registration Drives - Quakerbridge Mall | |

Saturday, September 7, 12:00-1:00 pm, or 1:00-2:00 pm
These non-partisan events are intended to educate and provide assistance to eligible New Jersey voters, including how to: a) register to vote; b) request a mail-in ballot; and c) update voter registration (name or address change). Registration deadline is Monday, October 15 to vote in the general election on Tuesday, November 5.

Witherspoon Street Presbyterian Church is holding a Voter Registration Drive on Saturday, August 31, 2024, on the sidewalk in front of the Church from 10am to 1pm. A representative from the League of Women Voters will be present to help with questions. This non-partisan drive will assist eligible voters with completing registration forms, answering their questions and updating registration information if voters have moved. Light refreshments will be provided.

Beginning Sunday, September 8 bus service pickup from Windrows (front entrance, 2000 Windrow Dr, Princeton, NJ 08540) is at 10:00 AM and from Stonebridge (front entrance, 100 Hollinshead Spring Rd, Skillman, NJ 08558) is at 10:20 AM. The bus will return passengers after worship, dropping off first at Windrows and then Stonebridge. Please note there is one service of worship 10:00 AM on December 29.

Next Sunday, September 1, is your final chance to sing in Summer Choir this year. We rehearse at 9:00 am in the Music Room for the morning service, learning music that is easily prepared in one rehearsal. Supported by our section leaders, singers of all abilities, middle school and older, are welcome for this “come as you are” choir. Join us and make a joyful noise unto God. | |
The Adult Choir’s first rehearsal is on Wednesday, September 4, 7:30-9:30 PM and new members, especially tenors, are welcome. This season includes the Pinkham Christmas Cantata and Barnett’s The World Beloved, A Bluegrass Mass.

The Festival Ringers invite you to join our handbell choir for the upcoming 2024-25 season. No previous handbell experience is necessary; all you need is a love for music and a willingness to learn and have fun. Fall rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings, 5:30-6:45 pm, beginning September 25.

Syracuse University organist, Anne Laver, presents music exploring the organ's relationship with song and dance. Featuring Davis' variations on the hymn tune "Solid Rock," Hampton's setting of "America, the Beautiful," exuberant toccatas by Buxtehude and Rogg for dancing feet, the program includes Natalie Draper's 2021 work, "Pattern Dances," with new choreography and live dance led by Meagan Woods and company. This free concert is co-sponsored by Nassau’s Thompson-McClure Fund and the American Guild of Organists. In-person & livestreamed.

While the building remains locked on some weekdays, administrative staff are onsite full time and program staff are in the office regularly. Please use the doorbell at the ramp entrance if you need access when the church office is open. If you need to drop something off, the locked drop box at the bottom of the ramp is checked daily.
