Ingrid Ladendorf to Assume a New Role
The Human Resources committee is excited to let you know that Ingrid Ladendorf has been offered and accepted a full-time position with Nassau Church to staff both Children’s and Youth Choirs and Children’s and Family Ministries. Ingrid’s ability to build relationships with families, youth, and children, and especially new families, makes her a wonderful choice for this revamped position. We all look forward to Ingrid continuing to share the many gifts God has given her and expanding her role at Nassau Church.
Help Needed at Arm In Arm Food Pantries
Volunteers are especially needed at this time as the college students who have been volunteering all summer will be returning to school soon. Arm In Arm volunteers make a significant impact on the lives of those in need in our community, engage in meaningful community service, and experience personal growth. We need volunteers for food sorting and packaging, distribution assistance, intake support, and special projects. Your support and dedication make a huge difference, and together, we can ensure that no one in our community goes hungry.

We are organizing ushers to serve during the 9:15 & 11:00 am services beginning September 8. Ushering is a terrific way to meet new people, do the important work of hospitality, and become more involved in the Nassau Church community: we welcome worshipers, hand out bulletins, and collect the offering on Sunday mornings. We will be hosting an informal welcome and orientation lunch for all usher volunteers on Sunday, August 18, 11:30 am in the Assembly Room.

Summer Conference Room Art Show:
The Sacred Art of Photography
| |
The exhibit was produced by two of Nassau’s small groups, led by Ned Walthall with the assistance of Tim Brown, under the general theme, “The Sacred Art of Photography.” In the fall of 2023, members were asked to write short prayers and then create photographs in response to them, or vice versa. This spring, the focus was on the Gospel of Luke: members could choose passages from Luke and make photographs in response to them. Each member was invited to submit a photograph to include in this exhibition.

D365 is a Presbyterian Church (USA) website and app offering a daily devotional experience written on a single theme for one week. Through scripture, prayer, and blessing you will read honest struggles and questions, all in the context of faith. You're invited to let the writer’s words serve as background for your own conversation with God.
