April 2016
Greetings!

April is a very special month for us, as we take the week of April 10 through 18 to celebrate libraries during National Library Week.  This year's theme, Libraries Transform, is a wonderful backdrop to our other big April event - our Run for Reading, held the following week on April 24.  We invite you to take that morning to challenge yourself to run your best 5k time, or to walk through the relaxing beauty of Jacobsburg Park in our 5k to support the library.

During National Library Week, we invite you to chat and snack at our Patron Appreciation Reception, or de-stress through coloring in our lovely living room.  We will celebrate our Young Authors with a reception for our young patrons who wrote and illustrated original books, and invite families to join us for a craft night.  You can find details on these events below.

The Nazareth Book Club is meeting this month on April 13, and AARP is offering one more week of tax preparation help on April 9.  Mark your calendars for our Mother's Day Tea on Friday, May 6 at 11am, where we will learn about the cultural and health aspects of tea from expert Christine Stazo.

Sincerely,

The Memorial Library of Nazareth & Vicinity Staff

Almost Spring Book Sale - a Great Success!
A big "Thank You" to all who donated items and to those who purchased them! Through your generosity, the Library not only raised money for library programs but was also able to add some of the donated items to our collection.

As you begin your 'Spring Housecleaning,' please keep in mind that the Friends of the Memorial Library of Nazareth and Vicinity will begin collecting gently used books, DVDs, and CDs for their June book sale on May 2nd. Because of limited space, the Library cannot accept donated items before that time.
