NCAA Championships are here again and that means it's time to meet up at a U.S. National Team Alumni Social. Our first social of the season is taking place on Saturday, March 28 at the Men's NCAA DI Swimming and Diving Championships in Iowa City; featuring special guest and 4-time Olympic Champion, Nathan Adrian!

This championship season college swim stars are already teasing us with two U.S. Open and American Record performances! Texas Longhorn Jack Conger took down the 200 Butterfly standards in a time trial at Big 12s, dropping a 1:39.31, and Stanford Cardinal David Nolan just captured the 200 IM records at PAC 12s in 1:40.07. While it'll be a challenge to top last year's competition in Austin, it appears Iowa City's NCAA Men's Championships will mark a turning-point in swimming history.

See you in Iowa City!

The 2015 Men's NCAA DI Swimming and Diving Championships, March 26-28, are only two weeks away, and the USA Swimming Foundation is hosting a USA National Team Alumni Social.

Join us Saturday, March 28th, 4-6 pm.  Enjoy BBQ, beer, soda and water courtesy of the USA Swimming Foundation. Finals are at 7 pm, giving you plenty of time to make your way to the stands to see the last night of competition.

We will be on site, just inside the pool's main entrance. Look for the USA Swimming Foundation banners.  4-time Olympic Champion and Cal Golden Bear Nathan Adrian will be our special guests. Alumni attending so far include: Ashley Whitney, Ricky Berens, Roque Santos, Josh Davis, David Fox, Anthony Ervin, Peter Rocca, Mel Stewart, Rowdy Gaines and USA Swimming Foundation Board Chair Bill Maxson.

Please contact Mel if you can attend; we'd love to see you!

1996 Olympic Champion Ashley Whitney will be joining us at the U.S. National Alumni Social at Men's NCAA Championships later this month.

Ashley's swimming roots run deep.

Swimming for the who's who of iconic coaches and teams, her talent developed at the famous Nashville Aquatic Club in Tennessee. She then went on to train under Gregg Troy during his tenure at The Bolles School. Ashley attended the University of Georgia, swimming for Jack Bauerle in 1999, the first year they won NCAA Championships. After her Georgia stint, she transferred to the University of California at Berkeley where she completed her college career with Teri McKeever. With all of that experience, it's no wonder Ashley is now coaching. She's back at her hometown team, the Nashville Aquatic Club, sharing her own swimming wisdom with triathletes and masters swimmers.

Ashley won Olympic gold as a part of the 4x200 freestyle relay at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia. She is happily married to a scientist, and that's how she describes her spouse, "Yes, he's a scientist." Ashley and the scientist have two lovely daughters who swim for Nashville Aquatic club.
