Pictured above is Senior Kassidy Gallaghe r receiving the MIAA Indoor Track Sportsmanship Award from MIAA Assistant Director Rich Reilly. Kassidy was honored before the Needham vs. Natick Track Meet on May 8, 2019 for her exemplary leadership and sportsmanship during the Indoor Track Season. 

Kassidy was nominated by the MA Track Officials Association.

CLASS OF 2021 NOTICE
Dear Parents of Sophomores,

The Class of 2021 is having a  CLASS DUES BLITZ  during the week of  May 20th-24th!  

The  $100  dues may be paid by cash or check  (payable to NHS Class of 2021) . When your child brings his/her class dues to  room 329 , he/she will receive a  free Class of 2021 t-shirt  or may choose to purchase a  sweatshirt for only $10!

Per the NHS handbook (see page 24), class dues are a one-time payment of $100 that each Natick High student is responsible for paying. Class dues help to fund prom, senior week, and other class activities.

NHS CHOIRS PRESENTS SPRING SING!

Welcome to Hogwarts Academy of Witchcraft and Wizardry! The NHS Choirs are presenting something innovative and exciting that the world has never experienced before! Our production blurs the line between a traditional choir concert and a full-blown musical. It's a visit to some key moments in the Harry Potter series; filled with images, text, and movement that diehard fans and new explorers alike will enjoy. Our singers ask the audience to reimagine classic songs of many genres through the lens of a young boy coming of age in an unfamiliar, magical world. Join over 100 singer-performers on a journey into one of the most beloved stories of our time.

You're Invited to the 2019 NHS Senior Internship Showcase!
Since the beginning of April, 129 seniors have been working hard at their internship sites. Come and support the senior internship class as they present & share their experiences with us. It is sure to be a fun event and a great opportunity to see the students' last big project of the year before they graduate. Parents, Families, Faculty and Employers are encouraged to attend!

Schedule
This event begins with an enlightening 30-minute presentation on today's college search process, followed immediately by a college fair that lasts for approximately 1.5 hours. Students and families are able to collect information from and speak directly with admission representatives from the colleges and universities that inspired the book Colleges That Change Lives.

Boston Program Only
During the college fair, parents/guardians/mentors are invited to learn more about financial aid and financing a college education. Identical thirty-minute presentations will be offered at 10:45 AM and 11:30 AM.

Registration
The event is free of charge. Counselors, students, and families are invited.

Westborough HS College Fair - is on Thursday, June 6 from 6:30-8pm and is open to the public! They are anticipating close to 100 schools and programs to attend. 
FUTURE PLANS FOR SENIORS
ATTENTION SENIORS
The Guidance Department tracks important class information. Please let us know the following:

1. What all your college application decisions are.

2. Where you will be attending - The Guidance Department will send a final transcript to the school you plan to attend in the fall. Transcripts will be sent in late June. This process is automatic and you do not need to request a final transcript.

3. If you are not attending a college/university this coming fall what are your plans?

Please email your information to your guidance counselor or Sandy White at swhite@natickps.org.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SENIORS

Class Night - A list of students receiving a scholarship, award or recognition during the Class Night Award Program will be posted on the guidance department website on Friday, May 24th at 3:00pm. This information will also be emailed to all seniors.This will not be the final list as not all names will have been received. All students on the list are expected to attend the Class Night Program.

Student Records - Seniors will be able to pick up their temporary records after their graduation rehearsal on Tuesday, May 28th. Students are required to bring a signed copy of this FORM with them to acknowledge receipt of their records. Any records not picked up will be destroyed on August 6, 2019.

Registration is now open at  FamilyID.com


Cheer tryouts will be held on June 17th-June 20th. High School Football (Grades 10-12) begins on Friday, August 16th (FR Football begins on Wednesday, August 21st).  All other Fall High School Sports (B/G Soccer, B/G Cross Country, Girls’ Volleyball, Girls Swim/Dive, Field Hockey & Golf) begin on Thursday, August 22nd. Varsity Dance will begin on Thursday, August 29th and Unified Basketball will be announced at a later date.

What: Natick Athletics Orientation/Fall Registration/Meet the Fall Coaches

When: Wednesday, June 5, 2019

Where: NHS Lecture Hall

5:00-6:30PM  – Fall sports registration in the Athletic Office. Be sure to register online at FamilyID . Bring a current physical and $225 check payable to NHS Athletics OR confirmation of your online payment on  UniPay . You will then receive a “yellow clearance form” needed for tryouts.

6:30-7:00PM  – Director of Athletics, Tim Collins, will present an introduction to Natick Athletics.

7:00-7:30PM  – MEET THE FALL COACHES – parents/guardians will have the opportunity to meet and talk with the ten individual FALL sport coaches.

Coaches will be in designated classrooms for these sport specific informational meetings. The FALL sports represented are: Football, Cheerleading, Boys/Girls Soccer, Boys/Girls Cross Country, Field Hockey, Girls’ Volleyball, Girls’ Swim, Varsity Dance, Golf & Unified Basketball.

BUS TRANSPORTATION REGISTRATION
Bus transportation registration for the 2019-2020 school year opened on Monday, April 1, 2019

ALL students must be registered for bus transportation on or before the registration deadline of June 1, 2019 to be included on a bus route for the 2019-2020 school year. 

Registrations do not carry over from school year to school year. If your child is required to pay a transportation fee, the fee for the 2019-2020 school year is $200 per student with a family cap of $400. 

All registration information, including the online registration form, and the Unipay Gold online payment option, is available on the district website at  www.natickps.org/departments/business/transportation

IFYI 2019 Summer Fellowship Program

The IFYI Summer Fellowship Program is an immersive leadership training program for high school students run at Brandeis University, July 31 - August 6, 2019. The weeklong program, provided at no cost to accepted students, is specifically designed to provide spaces for practical engagement with local and global issues through the lens of inter-religious, inter-racial, and inter-cultural dialogue, conflict mediation, and bridge-building. PTSO INFORMATION
Dear Parents and Students,
The Natick High School Parent Teacher Student Organization would like to welcome you to the 2018-2019 school year and invite you to join the PTSO organization.

WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN:  Being a member of the PTSO allows you to support your high school and the future of all our children . The nature and extent of further involvement in the organization is entirely up to you. The PTSO is not a money-raising organization. We provide parents, teachers, administrators and students with opportunities and tools to communicate. We also help with specific activities to support faculty and students. PTSO dues (see form below) help pay for the annual teacher and staff appreciation luncheon, scholarships for graduating seniors, 4 breakfasts at SAT tests, and speakers for community wide meetings.
