3Rs BOOK ALERT

Animal-centric care & management: Enhancing refinement in biomedical research

Our 3Rs Fellow (Megan LaFollette) & a member of our refinement group (Sarah Thurston, U. of Michigan) wrote chapters in the latest book on refinement in animal research. Chapters cover general topics such as human-animal interactions, a culture of care, abnormal behaviors, & practical animal training. There are also chapters on refining work with species such as zebrafish, mice, rats, rabbits, dogs, non-human primates, and pigs.

3-MIN 3Rs PODCAST

Want to learn about the latest 3Rs research, but don't have much time? Listen to 3-Minute 3Rs where we share 3 new articles in just 3 minutes! In October we discuss aggression in male mice, development of a microphysiological system for human small airway epithelial, and publication rate in preclinical research. Produced by Lab Animal in conjunction with NC3Rs.
