State Golf Shows

The absolute #1 recruiting tool for lefty golf tournament players is direct personal contact and interaction. To this end, the various state golf shows is a very effective way to reach lefty golfers. Most all of the next state golf shows will be held during the 2025 winter months, however, plans and signups will be conducted in the fall of 2024.

Is your state hosting a Winter Golf Show? If so, please contact Sid Miner so we can work towards participating with an NALG Booth. As an example, Nate Doimer, Chair of the Minnesota Lefthanders organization and the NALG are working towards a joint Minnesota/ NALG effort at the Minneapolis show in February, 2025.

World Association of Left Handed Golfers (WALG)

The 29th World Lefthanders Championship will be held June 15 - 21, 2025 in Liverpool, England.

There's already been a lot of buzz from the Americans about attending the 2025 tournament. Let's plan to show up in force next year and bring home as many divisional championships as we can.

Click HERE for more 29th WALG world tournament information.

We have also been alerted that the British Lefthanded Golf Assn. (BLHGA) will be holding their national championship the week prior to the WALG tournament on June 9th and 10th, 2025. Contact Tony Broadhurst by clicking HERE for further tournament information and entry form.

In Memoriam

John Hodecker passed away March 5, 2024 at the age of 90. John was a lifelong avid lefty golfer and one of the most involved NALG members for nearly 50 years, promoting the NALG to anyone who would listen throughout his travels.

John was not only a mainstay with the NALG, but he also participated in many World Lefty Events (WALG), his last tournament being in Sweden. John also was the founder and ran the Oregon state lefty events for many years.

The NALG extends a big heartfelt thank you to John for all of his contributions and our condolences to his wonderful family.

NALG Approved as a 501(c)(3)

The NALG is now officially a 501(c)(3) tax deductible non-profit organization! Big shoutout to Steven G. Newcom, NALG Secretary-Treasurer for successfully completing this complex initiative.

The primary advantage with this 501(c)(3) designation is contributions to the NALG can now be made on a tax-deductible basis making us far more attractive to Fortune 500 and other corporate partners. Please let Sid Miner know of any potential corporate donors you have access to who may wish to become lead or significant sponsors of the NALG.
