October Happenings: Please attend, vote, promote, and complete!
Dear National CCAA Member,

It’s hard to believe it’s mid-October--time seems to be accelerating and standing still all at once. In the midst of this chaotic year, I hope you are able to find some room to breathe and rest, for the height of admission season is here. I am writing with an invitation of sorts to take a break from the daily madness, as well as three important requests:

1. You're invited: Annual Membership Meeting, Thursday, October 22, 3-4 p.m. ET

Although we were not able to gather in person for our Annual Membership Meeting during the NACAC Conference, we are still planning for the meeting and hope you will join us on the 22nd via Zoom. During the meeting, I will give a state of the CCAA update, share how we pivoted quickly to revise our membership benefits in light of COVID, and highlight the wonderful things that are happening to promote our member schools and Catholic higher education. We will also have a special guest to offer welcoming remarks and help us recenter and embrace our mission.

To attend, please RSVP here by Wednesday, October 21. The Zoom login information for the meeting will be emailed to registrants by 1 p.m. ET on Thursday the 22nd.

2. Please vote in our election!
Traditionally, the CCAA president's term ends at the conclusion of the Annual Membership Meeting, and so I will officially hand over the reins to our President-Elect, Jean Marie Cox of Saint Louis University (MO), at that time.

With that, the membership must vote for a new President-Elect. The Board of Directors has nominated a dedicated and passionate leader to be the next President-Elect. Please submit your vote here by Wednesday, October 21

3. Continue to promote our Virtual Catholic Colleges Fair on Thursday, October 15, 7:30-9:30 p.m.

Our October virtual fair is this Thursday, and we continue to strongly recommend those of you participating to promote the fair to your inquiry pools.

The success of the fair depends on each member participant spreading the word. Click here for the fair registration link you can share. Thank you for your cooperation.

4. Your feedback is wanted!
Our spring 2021 Latin America Recruitment Program will be virtual, and our tour coordinators – Stephanie Szczepanski from Saint Louis University, MO and Jenna Zwiller from Saint Mary's College, IN – are requesting your feedback in creating a program. Please complete this short, 5 minute survey by Wednesday, October 21

As always, please let me or our Executive Director, Joyce Masek, know if you have any questions. I wish you all the best for a productive recruitment season. More importantly, I wish you hope and joy as you continue your work with students--work that has never been more important.

Thank you,

Tracy Manier
