Dear NCA Members & Supporters,

We talked a lot about NCA Family at the conference this year. Little did we know how many of us would be tested just a few weeks later with natural and man-caused disasters. It has been a tough couple of months and I encourage you to continue to reach out to fellow members in Texas, Florida, and Las Vegas. Find your people, love them hard and stand by them.

I'd like to personally thank you for your generous contributions to the NCA's fundraising efforts for the Houston Food Bank during the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. We are seeing our city recover, and the food bank is playing a key role in that recovery. Please continue to keep the Texas Gulf Coast, Florida, Mexico, the Caribbean islands, Las Vegas and Puerto Rico in your thoughts and prayers and on your donation lists.

Fortunately, Harvey arrived after the conference in Houston! It was full of great food, great speakers and great networking and learning opportunities. Thank you to our sponsors, speakers and attendees. I hope you'll join us in Memphis for the 2018 conference as we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the NCA.

As we begin a new fiscal year, I'd like to also thank YOU for your continued involvement and support of the NCA. We are 100% a volunteer organization, with each of us holding down a regular paying job and juggling other commitments, in addition to the NCA. Please know that the  contributions of your time, talents and financial support do not go unnoticed or unappreciated.

And finally, many of us, myself included, would not be able to do what we do without the support of our employers. We can't thank you enough for allowing us to be part of an organization that is dedicated to helping us be better at our chosen career.

Thank you to the Hotel Derek for hosting us for our 2017 19th Annual Education Conference. The hotel was hip, trendy, and perfect for us. Also, a special thank you to their Concierge, Jim Carey, whom was very helpful to everyone during our stay.

Next year, our 20th Annual Education Conference is being held in the vibrant city of Memphis, Tennessee. Conference dates are August 23, 24 & 25, 2018, and we will be staying at the new Guesthouse at Graceland.
