The Tribal Law and Policy Institute (TLPI) is holding its Healing to Wellness Court Enhancement Training on September 12-14, 2017 in Albuquerque, NM. TLPI is looking for workshop proposals that present best practices in tribal justice, collaboration, and service delivery that enhance the capacity for adult, juvenile, family, and/or DUI/DWI Healing to Wellness Courts. Orientation Webinar for BJA Drug Court Grantees
The Bureau of Justice of Assistance recently conducted a mandatory webinar for all new BJA Drug Court Grantees.  The purpose of this orientation was to outline the goals of the Adult Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program, introduce federal partners and technical assistance providers, explain BJA's Annual Drug Court Grantstat Protocol, and provide information on resources and technical assistance tools. 

Women in Treatment Courts
The National Drug Court Resource Center recently conducted a webinar focused on gender-responsive programs for women in treatment courts led by Judge William Schma and Valerie Moore.

New Solicitation: Addressing the Opioid Epidemic 

The Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA) was signed into law on July 22, 2016 to establish a comprehensive, coordinated, and balanced strategy to address the opioid epidemic. The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) has been allocated funding under CARA and has released two fiscal year (FY) 2017 solicitations: the Comprehensive Opioid Abuse Site-based Program and the Comprehensive Opioid Abuse Program (COAP) Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Program .  Applications for both funding opportunities are due April 25, 2015.  For more information, please view the Frequently Asked Questions.
