Chances are you’ve worked hard to build your assets and make the most of your money! Right?
Did you know?
Estate Planning is about security and helping your legacy live on after you pass.
Even if you don’t have a lot of assets, your Estate Plan is a guarantee that everyone will know what your wishes are. Health directives and long-term healthcare wishes are perfect examples of this – if you were ever to become incapacitated and couldn’t make your wishes known, your Estate Plan will speak for you, so your loved ones don’t have to make unthinkable decisions or wonder what you would want.
One document within Estate Planning is your Will. If you die without a will, it means you have died "intestate." When this happens, the intestacy laws of the state where you reside will determine how your property is distributed upon your death. This includes any bank accounts, securities, real estate, and other assets you own at the time of death.
That's quite disappointing when you've worked so hard for all that you've got! After reading all that it should be shocking to learn that an estimated 70% of Americans do not have an Estate Plan.
Who Needs an Estate Plan?
