NGCP Webinar The Computer Science Outreach Program Evaluation Network: Exemplary Practices and Lessons Learned
December 4, 2017; 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Pacific (2:00-3:00 PM Eastern)
Participants will hear from girl-serving programs about what they learned from participating in the Computer Science Outreach Program Evaluation Network (CS OPEN) led by Google, Haynie Research and Evaluation, and the NGCP. This informational and interactive webinar will focus on REGISTER the practices used and the lessons learned from this community of practice. Speakers will include Toni Robinson from Digital Girls, Inc., Sylvia Aguinaga from DIY Girls, Becky Herr Stephenson from LA Makerspace, and Tracey Welson-Rossman of TechGirlz.

New National Champions Board Members
We welcome our newest member Daniel Hatcher, Director of Community Partnerships for the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. When asked what advice he would give to the NGCP community Daniel said, "If I could give one piece of advice to the NGCP community, it would be 'become master story-tellers.' Achieving equity in STEM, wellness or any issue requires us to lift up innovations happening at the most local level. Using those stories to inform public policy is essential. Tweet your stories, tell your neighbors, write op-eds, speak at city government meetings - speak up any way you can!"

National Champions Board members are selected to give a balance of desirable expertise and regional representation, including industry representatives, informal learning educators, gender equity experts, science and mathematics education representatives, and educational policy experts.
