Throughout 2022 we are highlighting the work and passions of NGCP Board Members.
Jennifer Stancil is the Director of Development at The National Math and Science Initiative, the Founder and CEO of The Hello Studios, and the NGCP Board Chair. Nancy Scales-Coddington interviewed Jen to learn more about her work as a collaborator. Jen shared “I want to be in a collaboration that teaches me something new. I'm gaining new skills by working with people who love to craft and collaborate in the moment vs. the more reflective and iterative collaboration I'm used to”. Girls Who Code: At Home Activities
Code at Home activities engage youth in computer science through art, poetry, and activism. Activities feature pioneering women in technology and introduce youth to Python, web development, and Scratch to foster programming, design, and coding skills. Hour of Code Around the World
The Hour of Code is a global movement reaching students in 180+ countries. Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer programming, designed to demystify code. Students of all ages choose from self-guided tutorials. No prior computer programming experience is needed. Tutorials are available in over 45 languages and work on any modern browser, tablet, smartphone, or even with no computer at all. How-to guides, lesson plans, Teacher Forum, and FAQ's are available.

TechGirls
TechGirls is an interactive technology and computer camp for girls ages 15-17. The program brings together girls from 35 countries/territories in an exchange program focused on exploration of applied technology and STEM topics, and includes an 8-month mentoring program.
