Program 2017 Participants

The National Hellenic Society (NHS) is a non-profit foundation dedicated to preserving and passing on Hellenic heritage to the next generation. NHS' members are dedicated leaders of the Greek American community committed to advancing the NHS' mission.

The NHS' signature Heritage Greece Program is an educational and cultural immersion experience shared with students from the American College of Greece in Athens, Europe's oldest and largest American-styled higher education institution. The NHS is sponsoring 60 Greek American college students on this incredible journey of self-discovery of the students' heritage, culture, roots, and Greek identity.

Please join us on Thursday, June 8, 2017 for a reception to send-off the 2017 class of Heritage Greece participants as they depart for Greece on an experience that alumni have described as positively "life-changing!"

Produced by NHS and National Geographic,  The Greek Guide to Greatness  comprises of 10 short episodes on common themes from the ancient world cast in a modern context. It will be distributed to one million grade and high school students in the United States.
