June is National Homeownership Month, a time to celebrate the importance of homeownership and the impact it has on both families and communities. At Habitat for Humanity, we see firsthand how owning a home transforms lives. Families achieve more than just having a roof over their heads—they gain a place where they can grow, thrive, and create lasting memories.
Thank you for being part of this incredible journey and for supporting our mission to expand affordable housing opportunities by partnering with people in our community.
Happy National Homeownership Month! Throughout June and all year long, we strive for a world where everyone has a decent place to live. We know that’s a lofty goal, but we work towards it by:
-
Keeping partnership central to everything we do. It is at the core of how we work with our families, volunteers, communities, and our city, for we wholeheartedly believe collaboration brings greater connection, greater creativity, and greater commitment.
| |
-
Focusing on equity, which has dual meaning: the access to homeownership for families who have historically been excluded, and the wealth built through homeownership. This matters not only for individual families but also for closing economic and opportunity gaps caused by unequal access to homeownership.
| |
-
Creating stability as both an immediate and long-term impact with influence in many aspects of a families’ lives, from their children’s ability to succeed in school to their capacity to put money aside for the future.
| |
-
Establishing legacy by bringing together these focuses of partnership, equity, and stability. In doing so, our efforts transform lives and improve our community through affordable homeownership.
| |
All of this work happens alongside our regular construction and community events schedule, and it wouldn't be possible without individuals like you who are eager to learn something new and make a difference in our community. We truly could not do any of this without your help.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
