The National Hook-Up of Black Women, Inc., Northwest Indiana Chapter Announces 9th Annual Fundraiser
Event to be held June 5th in support of Scholarships
The National Hook-Up of Black Women, Inc., Northwest Indiana Chapter proudly announces its 9th annual fundraiser to support our scholarship and program initiatives. This year's luncheon celebration will be held Sunday, June 5, 2022, at the Chateau Banquet Hall, 530 West 61st Avenue, Merrillville, Indiana at 3:00 PM. Tickets are $50 each.

The theme is "Making Educational Dreams A Reality". Attendees have the opportunity to enjoy live entertainment and a Fashion Show sponsored by community partner Ashley Stewart. The 2022 scholarship recipients will also be acknowledged.

"We have goal an ambitious but attainable goal to raise $20,000.00 to fund our community programs and scholarships, " said Chapter President Sonda Vasquez. "Community support will enable us to make educational dreams a reality for graduating seniors from various schools throughout Northwest Indiana."

The organization also continues to support literacy through reading corners, teen mentoring, stand against domestic violence and health and wellness initiatives.

Despite not being able to gather for the fundraiser in 2020 and 2021 due to pandemic, the membership was still able to award 17 scholarships to graduating high school seniors and continuing education students in Northwest Indiana.

"We absolutely need our family, friends, and community to help sustain our commitment to advocate for women and their families during these uncertain times," added Vasquez.

In addition to purchasing tickets, sponsorship opportunities are available as well as Family & Friends ad tributes. All Ads must be camera ready.
