April 4-10 is National Library Week
The theme for National Library Week (April 4-10, 2021), “Welcome to Your Library,” promotes the idea that libraries extend far beyond the four walls of a building – and that everyone is welcome to use their services. During the pandemic libraries have been going above and beyond to adapt to our changing world by expanding their resources and continuing to meet the needs of their users. Whether people visit in person or virtually, libraries offer opportunities for everyone to explore new worlds and become their best selves through access to technology, multimedia content, and educational programs.

Consider letting WPL know what we can do better to provide library services to you now, and thank you for your help in our efforts to serve. Click HERE for a brief survey.

Dear Library Friends and Patrons,

WPL welcomes you to visit our Main Library. Our Fords, Henry Inman and Iselin locations are open to the public Monday through Friday. Please click HERE for hours by location. At this time the libraries remain on special hours. We will alert everyone in this eNews of a change in hours and library services. Guidelines for your visit are on our home page, HERE.
The library staff has planned virtual programs for your enjoyment and enrichment. We encourage you to continue to monitor Woodbridge Township Health Department news via the Mayor's Code Red announcements and CDC updates to guide your use of library resources and programs.

Here are some updates about new and continuing services:
  • Due dates that occurred during the closing for COVID-19 with the exception of Wi-Fi hot-spots have had due dates were extended until the Summer Loan period ends, September 11. Fines will have accrued after this date.
  • Book drops are open 24/7 in the Fords, Henry Inman and Iselin Branch libraries should you wish to make sure the books are returned without entering. We are now checking books in after a 3-day quarantine, but no fees are charged for the 3-day hold period.
  • Librarians continue to staff a Chat Information service from 10 am - 8 pm, Monday through Thursday and 10 am - 6 pm on Fridays.
  • Library staff members are monitoring the Ask-A-Librarian e-mail service to update library cards and are happy to assist with digital resources.
  • Library staff members are creating and sharing informational and educational social media posts. If you don't follow us yet, you are invited to like us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
  • If you have missed our virtual programs, WPL now offers program recordings on YouTube. Subscribing to the WPL YouTube channel will help us grow and alert you to new recordings as they are added.
On behalf of the Woodbridge Public Library Board and Library Staff, I wish you health and safety, and welcome you to visit the Woodbridge Libraries.
Stay well,
