Celebrating Our Mechanics!
National Mechanics Day is Sunday, June 12
Our mechanics play a crucial role at Casella Construction, as they keep our trucks and equipment moving. Cost-effective performance, productivity, efficiency and safety would not be possible without them and their hard work.
Our team has had to manage greater demands on service operations with increasingly advanced vehicle and shop technologies. In addition to mechanical aptitude, our mechanics have strong diagnostics skills and specialized training.
THANK YOU to our mechanics for all you do, every day. Keep up the great work!
Congratulations to Isaiah Coltey!
Isaiah has been all in on professional development and supporting our company as our Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist. Last week, he was presented his Red Hard Hat and recognized as a Leader in Safety for our company!

Safety Topic: Fire Prevention
In order for a fire to occur, three elements, frequently shown as the "fire triangle," are required.
All sides of the triangle must come together before a fire can occur. The goal of a fire safety program is to keep these elements apart.
Here are just a few examples of how to control the various elements that could cause a fire:
- Placing combustible scraps, debris, or waste such as oily rags into airtight containers for either disposal or storage;
- Inspecting electrical outlets, cords, machines and equipment;
- Storing flammable liquids in fire lockers in closed containers
It is everyone's responsibility to be on the lookout for fire hazards - and either immediately correct them, or report them to management.
Can you answer the question from this week's safety discussion?
What are the three elements of the fire triangle?
