We live in interesting times.
That could be the understatement of the year. These interesting times cause us to experience the range of emotions - from joy to desperation, all of which are valid.
What's amazing about the women of TTN is that we don't want to sit by and let the world move forward without us. We're paying attention and are ready to participate in activities and support causes that move us.
The recent Presidential election is the perfect example of this. Our members represent all sides of the topic, which is one of the reasons this is such an amazing organization. All views need to be respected. And we need to ensure that all parties - individuals, groups, and the organization - are able to voice opinions without harm.
The link below will take you to TTN's "Guidance for Organizational Advocacy, Activism, and Member Participation in Politics." This document is designed to clarify how we can pursue our individual passions while protecting TTN's standing as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Some of these guidelines are very clear - IRS rules are rules. Other activities are less so.
Please read this important information, then follow your passions.
