What is Social Emotional Learning?

"Social and emotional learning...is the process through which children, adolescents, and adults learn skills to support healthy development and relationships" (full definition found here). 


The New Hampshire online library (Overdrive) has a collection of books to help children in this area.

Robotics for Adults with Ned!

July 31st @ 10:00am and 12:00pm


Adults of all ages are welcome to play with Ned, our collaborative robot (or "cobot") arm based on open-source technologies and designed specifically for education, vocational training and more.


Work "all together now" to program Ned to locate, pick up and drop objects, or to just wave "hi"!

Harry Potter Escape Room

Monday, July 31st @ 3:00pm


Families with children 7+ are invited to celebrate Harry Potter's birthday in this escape room.


We invite you to put on your thinking caps and solve all the puzzles to escape! You have one hour to get your team members out of our Harry Potter Classroom. Communicate and work together!


Children must be accompanied by an adult. No young children please. Sign up the total number in your party.

A Visit to the Orkney and Shetland Islands 

Wednesday, August 2nd @ 2:00pm


Verdant rolling hills peppered with neolithic sites and 16th century castles adorn the Orkney and Shetland Islands, the northernmost territories of Scotland. While humans have lived in Shetland since the Mesolithic period, it took a TV series to put it on the map. Come see the stunning sights of both island groups.


This event is done in collaboration with Rivier University's RISE program.
