National Night Out For Neighborhood Safety!
West County communities celebrate in different ways

¡Noche Nacional de Salir por la seguridad del vecindario!
Las comunidades del Oeste del Condado, lo celebran de diferentes maneras

Each year, people across America gather in their neighborhoods to promote police-community partnerships on National Night Out, usually held the second Tuesday of August.

This year's event is on Tuesday, August 3.

This annual tradition helps build communication between law enforcement and neighbors.

Last year's National Night Out was largely cancelled due to the COVID-19. This year, some West County communities are cancelling again, or planning scaled back celebrations as we're still in a pandemic. Others plan outside events with masks, social distancing, and even COVID-19 vaccinations from Contra Costa Health Services mobile team.

Take a look at West County events. I plan to visit a few and hope to see you there!
