National Preparedness Month Roundup
During September's National Preparedness Month, we published a series of stories and information on how EWEB is preparing for future emergencies and how you can prepare at home. In case you missed it, here are some highlights.

Our priorities at EWEB:
  • Improving extreme weather preparedness and response
  • Replacing and reinforcing aging infrastructure
  • Developing redundant power and water sources and alternative delivery infrastructure preparedness is shared responsibility.

Grid Hardening Lowers Fire Risk, Increases Reliability
Utilities have a role to play in fire risk reduction, and we are doing our part. We can't stop wildfires, but we can make our electric infrastructure more resilient by using new construction methods and properly maintaining our systems and equipment.
EWEB Protects Drinking Water from Fire Impacts
We work hard to ensure clean water is there when you and your family need it--from source to tap. In the aftermath of the Holiday Farm Fire, we are safeguarding drinking water by addressing immediate risks, such as erosion from high intensity burn areas and redevelopment along the river, as well as longer-term resiliency investments to restore floodplain areas that are critical to water quality and habitat.
Get a backup generator with our zero interest loan program
EWEB's Backup Generator Program can increase your safety and resilience during a power outage. You can purchase and install a backup generator and transfer switch with our zero-interest loan.
