We've launched a new and improved  Resource Library interface for you to search for, access and order National RTAP and related resources. Now you can more easily browse our collection by format and topic, filter your searches and save favorite resources.

Marketing Contest Winners to be Displayed at National RTAP Conference

This fall 19 transit agencies entered their marketing brochures to the first National RTAP Marketing Contest.  You will have a chance to see the winners and all the entries in a display at our Technical Assistance Conference in Omaha. And if you ever need ideas for your transit marketing initiatives, check out the Marketing Toolkit!
FTA and U.S. DOT Updates

FTA recently released the 2016 National Transit Database (NTD) data products. Data resources include national transit summaries and trends and time series data on transit systems back to 1991.

NTI is holding a workshop on Small Procurement for Tribal Grantees on November 5-6 in Denver, CO. The course covers  issues including third-party contracting, standards and FTA Circular 4220.1F

Publications

TRB's Public Transportation Guidebook for Small- and Medium-Sized Public-Private Partnerships (P3s) addresses why and when to consider P3s, what types of initiatives may be undertaken, and how to effectively undertake these initiatives. A P3 Project Screening Checklist accompanies the guidebook.

NCMM, FTA and mobility management professionals have developed Competencies for the Practice of Mobility Management. This report outlines knowledge, skills, and expertise desirable for accomplishments in mobility management and provides information about the competency development process.

The SUMC Shared Mobility Reference Guide includes definitions for shared modes of transportation, suggestions for ways to better connect shared-use mobility with transit and recommendations for growing shared mobility services.

Kansas RTAP has prepared a helpful fact sheet on Disaster Response: Lessons Learned in Kansas.  After describing the state's responses to tornadoes, flooding and ice storms, proactive recommendations are provided.

Resource Share User Guide

Since we just updated the National RTAP Resource Library interface,  we updated our User Guide.  The guide now includes instructions with easy-to-understand graphics explaining everything you need to know to search for, download, favorite and order resources.  The library collection contains over 500 resources in all formats, created by National RTAP and other rural and Tribal transit leaders.
National RTAP is a program of the Federal Transit Administration dedicated to creating rural and Tribal transit solutions through technical assistance, partner collaboration and FREE training materials.
