HYC CELEBRATES
NATIONAL RECOVERY MONTH
September is National Recovery Month! National Recovery Month increases awareness and understanding of mental health and substance use disorders and encourages individuals in need of treatment to seek help. There are many forms and pathways of recovery. Each individual’s journey looks different. At HYC, we strive to support those seeking treatment and provide the community with prevention awareness through our Substance Use Treatment and Prevention Services Program. HYC's Substance Abuse Education and Treatment Program provides direct outpatient substance abuse counseling to youth ages 12-17 and adults, many of whom have co-occurring mental health disorders and their family members. HYC also provides Drug Medi-Cal outpatient substance treatment services. Through these services, HYC assists youth in the local communities and school districts in addressing their substance use issues, accessing care, and attaining sobriety. HYC provides direct individual, group, and family counseling, crisis intervention, urinalysis testing, and case management services for clients and their family members impacted by substance use and abuse.

HYC’s Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Prevention services is to reduce underage drinking, marijuana, methamphetamine, ecstasy, prescription medication, over-the-counter (OTC), and inhalant use/misuse among youth and young adults. The AOD programs provide educational workshops and attend community events to bring awareness of the dangers related drugs and alcohol. Follow HYC’s AOD program on Instagram @aodprevention_hyc for informational and educational posts.
In honor of National Recovery Month and National Sober Day, HYC is hosting an educational workshop on on September 14, 2021, at 5:00 PM on Zoom. Join us as we celebrate those in recovery and bring awareness to addiction. To register for the workshop, please click the link below.
