2022 National STEM Scholars Present Their Challenge Projects at NSTA National Conference 2023 in Atlanta

Every National STEM Scholar class since 2017 has received peer-reviewed invitations to present their Challenge Projects at a National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) National Conference, and we are thrilled that the 2022 STEM Scholars carried the honor forward in Atlanta! On Saturday, March 25th, Scholars participated in the Middle School Meet Me in the Middle Share-a-Thon with poster presentations, speed sharing sessions, and more.

Congratulations to the 2022 STEM Scholars for excellent presentations of your “big idea” Challenge Projects – it was great to see you again!

Ever wish your class could do it again? The 2020 Scholar class submitted a separate application and was also invited to participate in a Share-a-Thon during the 2023 NSTA National Conference! Congratulations 2020 STEM Scholars Patrick Marti, Rob Jackson, Allison Bogart, Amanda Huff, Tammy Bartlett, Katie Lee, and Erin Elliott. What a wonderful treat to have both classes there!

With the announcement of the 2023 National STEM Scholar class last month, we now have 80 Scholars in 33 states; 91% of you teach in public schools, 41% teach in mid-to-high poverty schools, and 38% of you teach in towns with a population under 15,000. We could not be more proud of you and your many accomplishments. The 2023 Scholars arrive in Bowling Green next week - stay tuned for more details in our August newsletter.
