2024 National Lutheran Schools Week - Connected

January 21-27 has been designated as National Lutheran Schools Week by the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. This year’s theme is Connected based on John 15:1-5.

Eighteen hundred preschools, elementary schools, and high schools have the opportunity to publicly proclaim and celebrate God’s work in Lutheran schools. We thank God for the opportunity to provide excellent academic preparation for the students who are served by Lutheran schools. More importantly though, we celebrate the opportunity we have to share the love, grace, and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ with children and their families. Lutheran schools provide an incredible mission outreach for our church body.

In the CNH District, we are proud of the work of the thousands of teachers and staff in almost 70 schools who are so dedicated to serve the children in their care. We also thank the congregations and organizations that throughout the history of our church have done the work and made the sacrifices so that Lutheran schools can connect people with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

New Free Resource: Daily Lutheran Devotions for Spanish Speakers

La Palabra del Señor Permance Para Siempre (“The Word of the Lord Endures Forever”) is now available from the Lutheran Heritage Foundation at https://pubsearch.lhfmissions.org/. From the link, search by language or title to download the most recent edition.

These quarterly collections of devotions are written by LCMS Latin American missionaries and by pastors of LCMS Latin American partner churches. Special thanks to the LWML California-Nevada-Hawaii District for their generous support of this project!
