Thank you again to all coaches and students who participated in the 2019 TEAMS state level competitions! The 2019 TEAMS state-level competition has officially ended.

Advancing to National Competitions

There are two ways to advance to the national TEAMS competitions:
 
1.       Minimum Score :  if your team reached/exceeded the minimum score for their level regardless of ranking , that team automatically qualifies to compete in the national TEAMS competitions. The minimum score is determined by adding the multiple choice score, the design/build score, and the essay score.
 
The minimum combined score needed to qualify for the national TEAMS competitions is shown below for each level.
 
              Middle School minimum combined score:  47
              9/10 minimum combined score:  117
              11/12 minimum combined score: 14 1
 
Scores for each of these three components will be available in your coach account on Friday, April 5th.  To view these scores: 1) access your coach account , 2) navigate to the “Click Here to View Reports” link at the bottom of the page, 3) click on the “My Teams Scores” link.
 
2.       Top three ranking :  if your team placed 1 st , 2 nd  or 3 rd  in your state (regardless of minimum score), that team automatically qualifies to compete in the national TEAMS competitions. State rankings will be available the week of April 8 th .
 
Competition Venue
National TEAMS competitions will be held June 28 th  – July 2 nd  at National Harbor, Maryland (right outside of Washington D.C.).  All TEAMS competitions will be held at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center.

Conference Hotels 
A block of rooms has been reserved at the following properties: Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, AC Hotel Washington National Harbor, Hampton Inn & Suites, Residence Inn, or Westin National Harbor. TEAMS participants are required to stay for the following four nights – June 28, June 29, June 30, July 1. TEAMS attendees must use the  TEAMS Hotel Links  when registering.
 
A $200.00 per person fee will be assessed by TSA, Inc. from any TEAMS conference attendee who does not stay at a national TSA conference property on 6/28, 6/29, 6/30, and 7/1. This policy is not implemented once the hotel sleeping room block has been sold out and has been authorized by National TSA. Those living within a twenty-five mile radius of National Harbor are exempt from this policy.
