Anchor House Update - April Edition

National Volunteer Month

In recognition of National Volunteer Month, Anchor House extends our appreciation and thanks to all the many individuals, organizations and corporations who lend their time, energy and talent.

Volunteers are the backbone of nonprofits and you help make our work possible.

Our featured volunteer is Tom Julian, a digital health consultant, who serves at Anchor House as a fund development advisory member. Tom is currently helping with a database project that will improve outcomes tracking and served as the driving force behind our new website. He is also a Foundation Ride participant -- this year will be ride number 8! Fun Fact: Tom is a published Sci-Fi novelist!

Partnerships in Action | Amazon

Anchor House is the proud recipient of a three-year partnership with Amazon from 2020-2023. Funds were awarded each year to help provide a safe haven to at-risk and unsheltered youth in Trenton and Mercer County.

In 2022, 19% of Anchor House total revenue came from corporate and foundation partners. While too many young people remain without basic needs, private support is critical to our ability to serve young people who need us most.

Old Hights Brewery in Hightstown is releasing a special Anchor House donation beer, "Safe Harbor" this Thursday, April 27. For more info and to RSVP please contact Karen at [email protected].

The Anchor House Foundation will hold its 45th Ride with a new twist on the Classic Ride along with other challenges including a walk. Visit the Anchor House Foundation website for info.
